CC + THE CITY

The CC + THE CITY program is a hands-on, behind-the-scenes look at today’s evolving fashion industry and is meant to be a stepping stone to your future in the areas of fashion, art and/or design.  Those registered for +Influents’ CC + THE CITY are in for a truly one-of-a-kind experience to learn from industry professionals + get a sneak peak at what its like to work in “fashion”.  In between the  hands-on workshops, field trips and guest speakers, +Influents will also take part in specialized leadership programming. The skills and knowledge they will gain will not only be useful to them as leaders withing the program setting but will be valuable + functional skills that they can use at school, in their social groups and life in general. These skills will be meaningful and relevant to our +Influents interests and age levels.

+Influents will be presented with a Certificate in Influence + Leadership Training at the end of the program.

This program is open to girls going into Grades 10 and 11.
Due to its specialized nature is limited to 15 +Influents per session.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A +INFLUENT AT CC + THE CITY INCLUDES

  • Taking a closer look at fashion blogging, photography, art + creative direction, styling, and illustration
  • Participating in specialized workshops lead by special guest speakers
  • Going on field trips to various fashion outposts in the city, be it a designers studio, to a scavenger hunt at the best vintage shops.
  • Taking part in workshops geared to expand leadership skills including communications skills, team work, self building + more.
  • Having the most fun, rewarding and unique summer experience you’ve ever had.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

  • Permission to use the TTC by way of a MetroCard. This program is considered a “nomadic” program whereby we will be on and off the TTC daily visiting different fashion outposts in the city.
  • It is highly recommended that +Influents have:
  1. a watch
  2. a photographic device (point and shoot camera, good quality camera phone, etc)
  3. a MetroCard
  • Ideal +Influents are responsible, positive, and enthusiastic about the program with an passion for fashion and a lust for life.

Prior to the programs start we will have an Orientation for parents and +Influents to familiarize themselves with the logistics of the program.
