CRAFTYCOUTURE is looking for enthusiastic, bad-a** good girls who have a passion for fashion and the empowerment of youth girls though arts education. We are a one-of-a-kind camp program in our ninth year and we are looking for one-of-a-kind people to add to our environment. The growth of any organization is dependent on the people within it.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM | SPECIALISTS

We are looking for well-rounded, jack-of-all-trades, DIY-diva types who can teach groups of 12-15 young girls their skills at our Summer Camp Program.

  • Clear + effective communicator
  • Skilled in one or more of these areas, including, but not limited to:
    • Digital Photography + Styling
    • Adobe Photoshop + Illustrator on a Mac
    • DIY + Crafting – reworking clothing, sewing, jewelry + accessory design, etc.
    • Fashion Illustration + Drawing Techniques
    • Online Digital Media, Blogging, etc.
  • Experience teaching and/or working with kids
  • A desire and ability to share your skills with others
  • Patient, Calm Temperament, Social, Energetic, Helpful
  • Studying Education, Fashion, or any area of Design in a Post Secondary Setting

Fashion Illustration Specialist, Photography + Styling Specialist, DIY + Design Specialist, and Fashion + Technology Specialist positions available. Camp runs for the month of August in Thornhill, ON with Training in Mid-July.

SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM | COUNSELORS

We are looking for outgoing “mother-hen”-types to be the go-to person for a group of 12-15 young girls at our Summer Camp Program.

  • Experience working with kids, preferably in a camp setting
  • Ability to communicate effectively with campers and co-workers.
  • Patient, Calm Temperament, Social, Energetic

Camp runs for the month of August in Thornhill, ON with Training in Mid-July.

SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM | CAMP VOLUNTEERS

Too old to attend camp, but too young to be a counselor? Why not volunteer your time, earn your high school volunteer credits and gain invaluable experience at our Summer Camp Program for girls.

Camp runs for the month of August in Thornhill, ON with Volunteer Orientation prior to camp.

SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

CC is looking for someone savvy + young to help in the development of our social media presence.

  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Superior organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities
  • Active in various social media platforms (Twitter, FaceBook, Instagram, WordPress)
  • Creative and a self-starter
  • Ability to plan and execute a social media strategy that includes tweeting, blogging, photography, videography, etc. on applicable platforms

The Social Media Internship is slated for three months in Thornhill, ON starting in June, minimum of two days per week.
